Welcome to the 3rd Annual Growing Our Table Gala!

Are you joining us for our Gala?  If so, here’s some information you might need for the big night!

PARKING: We are pleased to offer a complimentary shuttle, in case parking looks dicey or feels stressful!  Just park in the public parking lots in Upper or Lower Lake Park in Port and Rik Helfer will come pick you up in his black luxury bus!  Shuttle runs 5-7pm and from 9:30 – 11:30pm.

ATTIRE: As we mentioned, we’ve gone “a little bit country” this year.  This means you can have a little fun with your ‘fit this year! The phrase of the night is “rustic chic” — what does that mean?  Probably pretty dresses and cowboy boots for the ladies, belt buckles and hats for the guys?  Or, really, whatever you’re comfortable in.  We’ve got some great live music and a fab dance floor. Let’s have some fun!

AGENDA: We’re mostly about the food and the music this year, though we’ll of course remind you of why we do what we do, pay some tribute to our beginnings, and look a bit toward our future. We’re excited to have Mark Baden as our MC again this year — we know he’ll bring the dad jokes along — and he’ll take us through a Live Auction and a Fund-a-Need Auction. We’ll also have a Wine Pull, a Bourbon Board, a Stock the Bar Board, and a Cash Raffle!  So many fun ways to help us do what we do, and win some great items in the process!

MENU: To start, we have welcome drinks, a large charcuterie board by Cedar Valley Cheese & Frannie’s Market, and fresh pork and veggie rolls from Bamboo Bistro.  Then, Inventors will set up  some great stations including a mac and cheese bar, a pulled pork and pulled chicken station, and a hand carved brisket, among others. Sounds delicious, right?! We also have a beautiful array of desserts by BethanyMayhem, Toucan Custard, and Ashley’s Confectionary. And great cocktails will be available as well!  (2 drink tickets come with every Gala ticket.)

Around 200 of our old and new friends joined us for good food, fun drinks, a great silent auction, raffles, a wine pull, a bourbon wall, and more, all to raise money to outfit our new welcoming, bright, and open food space!

Master of Ceremonies Mark Baden ably led us through a “Fund A Need” auction to help convert our old walk-in freezer into a new-to-us walk-in cooler, sponsored by Port Washington State Bank, who MATCHED the first $5000 raised!  And we were so pleased to welcome Patti Habeck, CEO of Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin as our keynote speaker to help us understand the impact of our pantry on our community ecosystem.

Our Gala was presented by Port Washington State Bank with Spotlight Sponsor Charter Steel, along with all of the great Table Sponsors mentioned below and some fantastic Fund A Need Sponsors and Friends of the Pantry Sponsors.  Amazing in-kind donations from all the great folks listed in the program (click the photo on the right to view the program as a pdf) were absolutely essential to our success.  And, we are so grateful to all the Live and Silent Auction donors and everyone who joined us, bid on something, or purchased a raffle ticket or a chance to win a great bottle of wine or amazing selection of bourbons. Overall, we raised $50,000!  Amazing!
