Food Pantry Special Committees

Grant Writing Committee
This committee will work with our Grant Writer to search for possible grants, prepare grants, and complete follow-up reports with the foundations. In cooperation with the Grant Writer, a database will be maintained to track which grant requests were successful and which were not, along with amounts applied for and the amounts received. A strong connection with the Greater Milwaukee Foundation should be an annual focal point.

Corporate Sponsorship Committee
This committee will help build connections with local businesses here in Ozaukee County and the surrounding area. The committee will work with the Executive Director in creating materials that will be used to build corporate relationships. This will be accomplished through direct meetings with business leaders, as well as attending local business networking meetings through the Chamber of Commerce and other business groups in the area.

Community Involvement
This committee will work toward broadening the awareness of the Ozaukee Food Alliance here in Ozaukee County. Members will formulate ways to better engage community groups and better educate them about the various Food Pantry programs their groups could support. These include the community meal site, mobile food pantries, back-to-school fair and future considerations.

Operations
This committee will work with the Executive Director to oversee Food Pantry operations and explore new ways to optimize the performance of the organization as it continues to grow. The committee will look toward setting goals for the future of the organization and communicate those needs to the Board of Directors for future budget considerations.

Marketing Committee
This committee is focused on telling the story of the Ozaukee Food Alliance within the larger community to build awareness and investment. The group develops marketing strategies and supports execution.
