Welcome to our Featured Fundraiser page!  It is the end of the year and so we would like to take a moment to tell you about RECURRING DONATIONS and their importance to our operation!

You might guess that rescuing food requires resources.  We need vehicles and gas and insurance and maintenance; we need coolers and freezers and storage and the electricity to keep it all running well; we need staff to provide stability and make tough decisions and do outreach and juggle events and plan for the future and train & support all of our amazing 90+ volunteers; our building requires maintenance and improvements and snow removal and landscaping; and to get all that rescued food out to those in need, we need shelves and boxes and bags and a scale and computers.  In other words, operational costs are constant and increasing.

Here’s where recurring donations come in! Our community has humbled us, time and again, with its generosity and we see no signs of that stopping, which is absolutely amazing. But recurring donations allow us to plan ahead with more certainty. We don’t need to hope for a good gala or a great weather day for the golf outing or for continued support by our amazing area foundations and businesses; instead, we’ll know what we have to work with and can plan accordingly.
